iSight Missions

iSight Missions gives sight to blind poor children and adults, blinded by congenital and adult onset cataracts respectively. When we take the bandage off the once blind child or adult, we explain to each person and their family, the gift of sight, they now have, is a gift from God!

iSight Missions gives sight to SEE Jesus ! Every month besides operating on the blind poor who could never afford the cost of the surgery that would cure them, we also introduce students who want to be nurses and doctors, giving them the privilege to work closely with doctors and nurses. It is in this setting each month that we share with the students compassion and kindness Every month besides operating on the blind poor who could never afford the cost of the surgery that would cure them, we introduce students who want to be nurses and doctors to the medical mission field. We give them the privilege for the first time in their life to work closely with doctors and nurses as a respected member of the medical team. We teach them to be helpful in this setting, but most importantly we teach them the compassion to help others in need. Humbly we share the privilege of providing for the blind poor. In addition, we train young eye surgeons in the surgical technique on the successful removal of advanced cataracts, the ones common in the mission field. These techniques are necessary but not taught at the medical schools training eye surgeons because experts in these procedures are rare. By training these doctors we are preparing their hearts and skills to be ready to volunteer in the mission field in between their private practices, so they can carve out time to serve Jesus throughout their careers. For those who don't know Jesus, we introduce them to His loving kindness.
